How much does skip hire cost?

Your price depends on the skip size, waste, delivery address, hire period and any permit. Call for a quote and confirm what is included before booking.

Which skip size should I choose?

Start with the job and the amount of waste. A 2-yard mini suits small jobs; 4-yard midi skips give more room; 6- and 8-yard skips suit larger clear-outs. Heavy waste needs its own weight check. See our skip size comparison.

How long can I keep the skip?

Our standard hire is up to seven days. Confirm your hire period when you book, and call before that period ends if you need longer. Extra time may cost more.

Do I need a skip permit?

A skip wholly on suitable private land normally does not need a road permit. If it goes on a public road, Falkirk Council’s permission must be in place first. Read the permit guide.

Can I put soil or rubble in the skip?

Tell us before booking. These materials are heavy, and the weight limit may be reached before the skip looks full. We need to agree the skip size and amount you can load.

What cannot go in a general skip?

Keep out asbestos, chemicals, paint, fuel, oils, gas bottles, tyres, batteries, mattresses, electrical appliances, food and medical waste. Plasterboard, upholstered seating and large carpet loads need checking first. See the full waste guide.

Can you deliver on the day I need?

Call with your preferred date. We confirm availability and delivery arrangements before you book; dates are subject to the schedule, access and any permit.

Will the skip fit on my driveway?

Measure the space and tell us about gates, slopes, surface condition and overhead obstacles. The lorry needs more room than the skip itself. Approximate skip dimensions are in our size guide.

How full can I load the skip?

Keep everything below the top rim. Do not build up the sides or leave items sticking out. A skip that is overfilled or contains restricted waste may need sorting before collection.

How do I arrange collection?

Call when you have finished filling the skip. Agree the collection arrangements and keep the route clear. Do not assume it will be lifted automatically on the last day.

Can I pay by card?

You can pay by card over the phone. Confirm the payment method, total and booking terms when you call.

What if I do not have space for a skip?

Ask about man and van waste removal, wait-and-load or skip on wheels. We need to check the waste, access and parking before confirming which option suits.
